Joan has exhibited and sold in "The Royal West of England Academy", "The Society of Women Artists", "The Society of Floral Painters", "The South West Academy of Fine Arts", "The Royal Bath and West", "The Bath Society of Artists", and, "The Somerset Art Week". Joan won "Artist of the year 2004" for both her portrait, and flower paintings with the Society for All Artists (S.A.A).
Joan's paintings were exhibited at "The Society of Women Artists" annual exhibition, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 plus, she has a licensing contract with a Fine Arts Company, is a full member of the Society of Floral Painters (S.F.P.), and The Fosseway Artists society.
Joan was awarded the Society of Women Artist's "Portrait Prize" at the 2007 Annual Open Exhibition, the "People's Choice Prize" at the 2009 Annual Open Exhibition, held at The Mall Galleries, London, and the "People's Choice Prize" at the Society of Floral Painters' 2012 Annual Exhibition. Awarded the "Atellier Interactive Prize" at the "Artists Magazine" 2013 Annual Open Exhibition.
Joan undertakes demonstration for SAA societies and other local groups, based on working from an initial floral/portrait image to show how to achieve final painting, she can also include lesson activities.
